coLAB’s “Comic in a Day” Showcase at Court Tavern

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—On Sunday November 22, coLAB Arts will showcase comic books from its Comic in a Day competition at Court Tavern from 6pm-9pm.

coLAB is an arts non-profit organization that serves the New Brunswick community. According to coLAB’s website, its mission is to "engage artists, social advocates, and communities to create transformative new work".  Jad Kaado, the literary curator for coLAB, says the non profit tries to, “bridge the arts with current advocacy issues.”

Arts and Culture Thrive in New Brunswick

Arts and culture have been critical to the city's continued success over the years, and have been a major part of the reason why New Brunswick remains the "Hub City" of Central New Jersey.

A thriving music scene, three state-of-the-art theatres, a free art museum at Rutgers, two downtown art galleries, and the most popular comedy club in the state are just a few of the attractions of New Brunswick's rich culture.

NBPD No Informa Cuántas Personas Fueron Apuñaladas en el Feriado de Halloween

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ— Más de una semana después de que algunas personas fueron apuñaladas en la ciudad, la policía local todavía no ha respondido preguntas básicas sobre delitos que ocurrieron durante el caótico feriado de Halloween. 

Entre los delitos que no se han hecho públicos, estaba un incidente donde hubo disparos y un hombre enmascarado asaltó a alguien con "una barra de metal oxidado", según las transmisiones de radio policial.

New Brunswick Zebras Football Team Heading to Playoffs

METUCHEN, NJ— For the first time since 2009, the New Brunswick Zebras football team is heading to the state playoffs.

On a breezy and cloudy Saturday afternoon, the New Brunswick Zebras (8-1) needed to bounce back from their first loss of the season and secure a road win against a rigid St. Joseph Falcons (3-5) team to secure a playoff berth.

In a run-dominated game, each team clashed in the trenches, hardly attacking through the air.

This was a game loaded with penalty after penalty, constantly stopping the clock.

Rutgers Hosts Free Public Conference Addressing Urban Heritage

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—The Rutgers Department of Art History's Cultural Heritage and Preservation Studies program will be hosting a conference called "Shifting Cities: Urban Heritage in the 21st Century" from Thursday, November 12 through Sunday, November 14.

All events are free and open to the public, although pre-registration is required.
