No hubo daños tras explosión de un iPhone en un aula de NB High School

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ- El 12 de enero, un teléfono habría explotado en la escuela secundaria de New Brunswick, según el testimonio de varios estudiantes y profesores.

La explosión ocurrió cerca del mediodía después de que un estudiante dejó caer su teléfono, mientras lo cargaba conectado a un tomacorriente dentro de un aula D-pod en el segundo piso.

Todas las fuentes que fueron entrevistadas por New Brunswick Today dijeron que el teléfono que estalló era un iPhone.

Zebras Football Team Makes Playoffs For Second Straight Year

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ–The New Brunswick Zebras once again earned a playoff spot in the Central Group V State Tournament after besting the East Brunswick Bears to cap off their regular season on November 4.

The Zebras finished off another strong regular season, averaging 24 points per game and having won four of their last six games following a challenging 0-3 start against tough competition.

NBHS Football Team Keeps Playoff Hopes Alive With 31-20 Win

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—On a chilly and windy Friday night, running the football appeared to be the best way to move the chains.

The New Brunswick Zebras (3-5) football team worked their offensive line to fight through adversity and come out with a much-needed win against the Howell Rebels (4-4), after trailing 20-19 in the third quarter.

The win puts the Zebras in playoff contention, though they still need the Edison Eagles to lose to the Piscataway Chiefs this week.  Edison will make the playoffs if they beat Piscataway.

Metuchen Soccer Team Upsets Zebras With Late Goal in First Round of GMC Tournament

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ–For the first time in two seasons, the New Brunswick High School (NBHS) boys soccer team lost two consecutive games.

Each of the losses were by a narrow margin, by just one goal.   The Zebras lost to Monroe 3-2 in their final regular season game, and then dropped another contest to the Metuchen Bulldogs by a score of 2-1 in the Greater Middlesex Conference (GMC) Tournament.

For Metuchen, it was redemption of a 5-1 loss suffered at the hands of the Zebras in last season's GMC tournament.

Old Bridge Defeats NBHS After Strong Start With 34 Points in First Half

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Two sacks, two interceptions, 34 unanswered points in the first half, along with a recovered kick return, helped the Old Bridge Knights (4-1-1) put the Zebras (2-4) away on Senior Night and continue their unbeaten 4-0-1 division record.

Quarterback Artur Sitkowski, running back Nick Sodano, and wide receiver/cornerback Anthony Imbimbo were able to run through holes and make big plays the entire night, all making sure to credit their offensive and defensive line.

Monroe Claims Red Division Title Over Zebras in Close Battle

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ–Matt Mischler has been a nightmare for the New Brunswick Zebras' soccer team.

Collectively, he has scored seven goals against them in three matches, including a hat-trick to knock them out of the semifinals of the state tournament last season.

The new Red Division champion Monroe Falcons (14-1-1) are 3-0 against the Zebras (11-3-2) within the past year, having beaten them 4-1 in a match earlier on.
