NJ Film Festival Celebrates 34 Years in New Brunswick

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—The New Jersey Film Festival, celebrating its 34 year anniversary, is beginning its fall season with film screenings on September 11 at 7:00 p.m. at Rutgers University's Voorhees Hall, Room 105.

The Film festival is a project that spans over five months, with winners announced after the screenings on Saturday, October 9, 2015

McDonald’s Will Shift to Using Cage-Free Eggs Over Next 10 Years

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ–McDonald’s corporation will fully transition to cage-free eggs in nearly 16,000 of its restaurants in the U.S. and Canada over the next 10 years, the giant restaurant chain announced on September 9.

“Our customers are increasingly interested in knowing more about their food and where it comes from,” said McDonald’s USA President Mike Andres. “Our decision to source only cage-free eggs reinforces the focus we place on food quality and our menu to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations.

“Guy Code” Star Performing at New Brunswick Comedy Club

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Funnyman and star of MTV2's "Guy Code," Damien Lemon will be bringing the laughs to downtown New Brunswick this weekend.

The comedian is set to perform five shows at the Stress Factory on Church Street.  The shows are open to anyone 16 or older and tickets are $20.

Story Slam Finals at Crossroads Theatre

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—CoLAB Arts, an artist-driven non-profit organization will be hosting "theVOM: Grand Story Slam," a free spoken-word event on Thursday, September 10 at 7pm.

Typically held in a nearby bar, the final event will be held in the city's theatre district at the Crossroads Theatre, located at 7 Livingston Avenue in downtown New Brunswick.
