Humans of New York Creator Speaks at Rutgers University

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—On November 3,  Rutgers students had a chance to meet the mysterious human behind the powerful book "Humans of New York."

The event was hosted at the Douglass Student Center by Rutgers University Programming Association (RUPA) and the Department of Leadership and Experiential Learning.

Several hundreds of students showed up to learn how Brandon Stanton's started one of the most popular photography projects in recent years.

14th Annual New Brunswick March and Rally Against Domestic Violence

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—On Saturday, October 17, the New Brunswick Domestic Violence Awareness Coalition (NBDVAC) will gather for its 14th annual Domestic Violence Survivor March and Rally. 

The march is set to begin at 10 a.m. at the Suydam Street Reformed Church on 74 Drift Street and will feature a variety of speakers including the Dean of Students for Rutgers Busch Campus and Chair of the New Brunswick Domestic Violence Awareness Coalition, Sandra Rocio Castro.

Story Slam Finals at Crossroads Theatre

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—CoLAB Arts, an artist-driven non-profit organization will be hosting "theVOM: Grand Story Slam," a free spoken-word event on Thursday, September 10 at 7pm.

Typically held in a nearby bar, the final event will be held in the city's theatre district at the Crossroads Theatre, located at 7 Livingston Avenue in downtown New Brunswick.
