A&P Gives 90-Day Notice, All Stores Will Be Sold or Closed

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ–Linda Wahler has been a member of the UFCW union since 1986, and worked at the local PathMark as a cake decorator until 5 months ago.

Then she was transferred to the A&P in Holmdel where, the company told her, they needed help in the deli and meat department, an area she also had experience in.

But both stores will close soon, perhaps for the last time. The East Brunswick Pathmark is slated to shut down September 18, while the A&P in Holmdel will close the day after, on September 19.

Rutgers Against Hunger Provides Snacks for New Brunswick Children

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Rutgers Against Hunger has teamed up with New Brunswick’s Play S.A.F.E to create the new "Snack Pack Service Project" this summer, made possible by donations from ShopRite, the Embrace Kids Foundation, Johanna foods, and Affinity Federal Credit Union.

Rutgers Against Hunger (RAH) collaborated with New Student Orientation to host a community service opportunity for students while they were at orientation.

Speeding Rutgers EMT Terminated After RUPD Internal Investigation

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Rutgers officials finally confirmed on August 14 that Christopher Murray, an employee of the school's Emergency Services division who posted videos of himself speeding on public roadways, had been terminated two weeks earlier.

A letter emailed to this reporter by Rutgers officials following a public records request says that Murray was terminated on July 31, listing "End of Assignment" as the reason.
