Authorities Issue Alert For 19-Year-Old Fugitive

Update (3/24): The Middlesex Prosecutor’s Office has apprehended 19-year-old Calvin Morton of New Brunswick.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office (MCPO) Fugitive Unit has issued a an alert for fugitive Calvin Morton, age 19.

The alert, like most Middlesex County Crime Stoppers messages, indicates that prosecutors are willing to extradite the fugitive from any state in the country.

Northeast Corridor Rail Service Suspended Due to Crash in Iselin

UPDATE (3:10PM): Amtrak spokesman Craig Schulz told Edison Now that service on the Northeast Corridor has resumed on 3 of the 4 tracks.  Trains are operating with delays of at least 45 minutes, and there are signal problems in the area of Metropark.

NJ Transit trains on the Northeast Corridor Line are operating with at least 60-minute delays.  Coast Line trains are operating with at least 15-minute delays.There was no estimate on when the fourth track would be working.

Exit Polls Indicate Positive Vote for New Edison School

EDISON, NJ—The prospects for a new school for Edison Township students looks good, as the voting winds down in the vote to issue $18.6 million in bonds.

The funds will be used to rebuild the James Monroe Elementary School that burned down March 22, 2014.

As expected for today’s referendum has been light so far. Polls opened at noon and close at 9 pm.
