RWJ Foundation Doubles Commitment to Helping Children Grow Up at a Healthy Weight

PLAINSBORO, NJ—The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) announced on February 5 that it will commit another $500 million over the next decade to expand efforts in the fight against childhood obesity and ensure that all children in the United States, no matter where they live, can grow up at a healthy weight.

The national movement to address childhoold obesity has been gaining traction over the last couple of years, according to the RWJF which has worked to improve health and health care for the past 40 years.

Rutgers Freshman From East Brunswick Passes Away While Playing Basketball

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Patrick Awosogba, a Rutgers University freshman, recently passed away after collapsing during a recreational basketball game on February 22.

Awosogba collapsed around 2 PM at the Rutgers University Cook/Douglass recreation center.

Lifeguards immediately administrated CPR, and Rutgers Emergency Medical Technicians showed up soon after. Police officers also arrived on the scene.
