Free Landlord-Tenant Legal Workshop at NB Public Library

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—A landlord-tenant relations and small claims court workshop is being held at the New Brunswick Public Library Community Room on Wednesday, June 11 from 5 to 7 PM.

The workshop is free and open to the public.  However, the nature of the discussion will be informational only and personal cases cannot be discussed, according to the event announcement.

Belfast Community Gospel Choir Brings “Joy by the Bucketload” to Hub City’s Kirkpatrick Chapel

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—“I want you to turn to the person on one side and say ‘we're in for the ride of our lives.’ Now I want you to turn to the person on the other side of you and say ‘Oh my goodness, the Irish are here!’”

That command to the audience by Belfast Community Gospel Choir director Marie Lacey captured the mood of raucous celebration that gripped Kirkpatrick chapel on the evening of Friday May 30.

Actor and Comedian Tracy Morgan Critically Injured, Hospitalized at RWJ After Fatal Turnpike Crash

CRANBURY, NJ—At approximately 1 am this morning, a vehicle transporting actor Tracy Morgan from a comedy show in Delaware was involved in a tragic crash on the New Jersey Turnpike.

According to the State Police and Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office, a 62-year-old passenger in the vehicle, James McNair of Peekskill, New York, was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:53 a.m.

Pedestrian Struck By Downed Pole in Crash at Jersey and Handy

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—A large pole holding up a either a traffic light fell on a person after it was struck by a car at the intersection of Jersey Avenue and Handy Street.

Dispatchers told cops that 9-1-1 was "going off the hook" around 2 am, sending police, ambulances, and PSE&G electric workers to the scene.

A city police officer was able to lift the pole off of the injured pedestrian according to police radio transmissions while emergency medical personnel and firefighters hurried to the scene.
