Suspects in Ski Masks Rob and Shoot Young Man on Fulton Street

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—A young man was shot and wounded in the posterior during a robbery on Fulton Street early Saturday morning on June 15, according to New Brunswick police.

The 19-year-old victim was walking along Fulton Street when two male suspects described as wearing ski masks suddenly approached the victim and demanded money. The victim was then threatened by one of the suspects who brandished a handgun.

Fearing for his life, he victim gave his cell phone to the suspects and was then shot in the buttocks during the exchange.

This Saturday, June 15, a presentation by Richard Phoenix, president of the acclaimed New Jersey Radio Museum, will provide some answers as he describes the evolution of radio through history.

Mr. Phoenix will be revealing at how the radio came into being, and served as an integral part in New Brunswick's development of public communications systems.

Forced to Rely on Cell Phone Location Info, Police Struggled to Find Scene of Union Street Assault

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Police are investigating a robbery and assault that took place in an apartment building on Union Street near Rutgers College Avenue Campus on Friday night.

New Brunswick Police Department was first notified of the incident at 7:02 pm when a resident of 40 Union St. attempted to alert authorities that he was being threatened by three unknown assailants with a handgun who demanded he turn over his property.
