27-Year-Old Man Died From Cervical Fracture in County Jail
NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ—On March 13, Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey announced the results of an autopsy on a 27-year old Piscataway High School graduate who died in the county jail.
David Yearby's cause of death was “blunt force trauma to the head and neck,” according the prosecutor’s office press release
According to Yearby’s relatives, David, a detainee at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Facility, was pulled out of his cell, restrained to a chair and died of a cervical fracture to the spine.

While attempting to ask Barchi a question about a recent business deal that likely made him hundreds of thousands of dollars, this reporter was checked by the forearm of a man who proceeded to hold him against a chair while Barchi exited the building.
Father of Shooting Victim: Murder Case Marred by Swapping of Prosecutors and Judges
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—The father of a murder victim is calling out the New Jersey Court system for the way it handled the case against a city resident accused of killing his son.
Jose Negron complained prosecutors handling the case were changed twice in the lead-up to the trial, and questioned why the a Superior Court Judge Barry Weisberg was put in charge of the murder trial, despite never handling a criminal case before.
"Something went extremely wrong in this case," Negron told New Brunswick Today.
Most Fracking Sites Near NJ Would Be Unaffected by New Federal Regulations
WASHINGTON, D.C.—The U.S Department of Interior rolled out a new set of regulations on fracking that would affect fracking drilling taking place on federally-owned lands, and leave fracking operations on private property untouched.
Federally-owned fracking sites fall under the jurisdiction of the U.S Department of Interior and the Bureau of Land Management. In total, the federal agency governs 100,000 of the roughly 1.1 million fracking sites in the country.
NBPD Makes Arrests in Franklin and Edison in Connection With Class Place Shooting
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—The New Brunswick Police Department (NBPD) has arrested two men they say were involved in a shooting that injured a 17-year-old and a 22-year-old near New Brunswick High School.
The first suspect, 24-year-old male Christopher Smith, was arrested at approximately 4:00 p.m. on March 24 outside of his residence in Franklin Township.
