Dance Groups Perform at Rutgers Taiwanese American Student Association Charity Event

PISCATAWAY, NJ—This Saturday, October 25, the Taiwanese American Student Association (TASA) will be hosting their biggest event of the semester in the multi-purpose room of the Livingston Student Center from 7-10pm.

The competitive showcase will feature several of the Asian dance teams at Rutgers University and includes a cash prize for the winner.  The theme of the showcase will be Maleficent, who was the evil Queen in the Disney classic, "Sleeping Beauty."

Punk Legend Chuck Ragan Performing At The Court Tavern

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—With his signature brand of Springsteen-styled raspy vocals, and a massive catalog made up of foot-stomp-enducing classics, Chuck Ragan is a staple within the punk and folk scenes nationwide. 

And this Saturday, October 25, Ragan will be coming to the Hub City to perform in New Brunswick's famous Court Tavern.  Doors will open at 7pm.

Comedy Showcases Abound in Hub City This Week

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—New Brunswick is surely a hotbed of truly artistic people, and stand up comedians are no exception.

This week the Hub City will feature two great comedy showcases, starting with tonight's show in the basement of Tumulty's Pub, at 361 George Street.

On Thursday, October 24, Tumulty's is hosting the third Colonel Mastodon Showcase, featuring a dozen local comedians.  And, the following evening, Hidden Grounds coffee shop will host another great show.

Gobernador Christie nombra el Hospital Universitario RWJ como uno de los tres en New Jersey para potencialmente tratar el Ébola

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ— El Hospital Universitario Robert Wood Johnson (RWJUH) ha sido designado por la Oficina del Gobernador como un centro potencial para tratar pacientes del ébola.


Esta decisión formó parte de una orden ejecutiva para crear ‘Ebola Virus Disease Joint Response Team’ (EVD-JR). El 22 de octubre, esta orden ejecutiva fue firmada por el Gobernador Christie en una conferencia de prensa en el Hospital Universitario del Centro Médico de Hackensack, uno de los tres hospitales adecuados.

Christie Designates RWJ Hospital as One of Three in NJ to Potentially Treat Ebola

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) has been designated by the Office of the Governor as a potential facility to treat patients with Ebola.

The move came as part of an executive order creating the Ebola Virus Disease Joint Response Team (EVD-JR), signed by Governor Christie at an October 22 press conference in Hackensack University Medical Center, one of three hospitals in total to receive the designation.
