NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—The New Brunswick Zebras football team won their second game of the 2014 season, defeating Perth Amboy High School 14-7 in the annual Homecoming game.

New Brunswick running back Samad Davila carried the Zebras offense, rushing for 165 yards and two touchdowns to help lead New Brunwick to victory over Perth Amboy.

Davila scored on a 5-yard run during the first quarter of the game to put New Brunswick on the board first. He then broke free for a 60-yard touchdown run to help bring New Brunswick’s lead to 14-0 as they went into halftime.

Davila, a junior, finished the game with 18 carries for 165 yards.

Perth Amboy cut the Zebras’ lead in half after returning the second-half kickoff for a touchdown to make the score 14-7.  But both defenses held their ground and neither team scored again after that.
