EPD Officers Charged With Plotting Another Arson Targeting Top Brass

EDISON, NJ—A Township police officer, and another man who recently left the department in disgrace, have been charged with hatching a plan to set the home of one of their bosses on fire.

Michael Dotro, who resigned from the Edison Police Department (EPD) in September and still faces attempted murder charges in connection with a May 2013 blaze, is now being accused of conspiring with another officer to light a different superior officer's home on fire.

19-Year-Old Badly Injured by Man Who NBPD Has Not Charged

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—A young woman from South Amboy remains hospitalized after being knocked into a coma for more than a week, rendered unconscious by a man who punched her in the face during a Halloween weekend streetfight in New Brunswickt.

However, the man who threw that punch, Dan Murray, remains free and police say they won't arrest or charge him because video shows Emily Rand striking him first.

Residente de Old Bridge Declarado Culpable de la Muerte de un Hombre de 63 Años que Conoció por Internet

SAYREVILLE, NJ– Un residente de Old Bridge fue condenado por homicidio agravado y un cargo por posesión de armas el 14 de octubre, de acuerdo con una declaración de la Oficina del Fiscal de Middlesex County (MCPO).

Robert McGranahan de 29 años de edad, fue condenado por apuñalar y matar a un hombre de 63 años en Sayreville, luego de un juicio y más de dos días de deliberación.

MCPO Declara Tres Arrestos por Tráfico de Heroína Tras Investigación de Seis Meses

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ– La Oficina del Fiscal del Condado de Middlesex (MCPO) publicó una declaración el 30 de septiembre anunciando tres arrestos que resultaron en la "recuperación" de la supuesta cantidad de $20,000 en heroína, y también de seis pistolas y un chaleco antibalas.

La declaración pública mencionó que el trio "manejaba una operación de ventas de droga en las calles que recaudaba miles de dólares anuales."

Rutgers College Fair For Undocumented Students on Cook Campus

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—UndocuRutgers, a Rutgers student organization, is holding a free College Fair for undocumented high school students, as well as those currently enrolled in college, on November 19.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cook Student Center located at 59 Biel Road in New Brunswick.

The Center for Latino Arts and Culture (CLAC) and UndocuRutgers have organized the event to inform undocumented students about Rutgers admissions process, and how to apply for financial aid and recieve in-state tuition.

MCPO: Metuchen HS Evacuation Caused by Bank-Robbing Brothers

METUCHEN, NJ—A diversionary tactic did not stop local police from arresting a pair of brothers from Carteret for robbing the TDBank in the quiet town of Metuchen.

Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Chief David Q. Irizarry of the Metuchen Police Department announced on November 7 that two brothers were arrested and charged with robbing the bank "after staging a bomb scare at the high school to divert police," according to a press releae.
