Pilot Strike Could Disrupt Amazon’s Holiday Fulfillment

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ–Amazon.com Inc.’s vital holiday deliveries may be disrupted due to a pilot strike, according to a Wall Street journal report, which cites challenges with the company’s “in-house transportation network.”

On November 23,  a “longstanding labor dispute” heated up as pilots “contracted to deliver Amazon packages began picketing,” says the report, noting that pilots employed by only one of Amazon’s two airline partners, Air Transport Services Group (ATSG) were picketing.

BENSALEM, PA– Un hombre de 32 años de New Brunswick quien anteriormente asistió a la Escuela Secundaria Somerville ha sido sentenciado a más de una década en prisión estatal por convertir un motel fuera del estado en un burdel donde las mujeres recibían pagos en heroína o crack por sus servicios.

Christopher DeGrasse fue arrestado el 5 de abril en el Motel Best Western en el bloque 3400 de Street Road en Bensalem, Pennsylvania, según las autoridades del Condado de Bucks.

Police: NBMS Faculty Member Assaulted by 14-Year-Old Student

NEW BRUNSWICK NJ—The New Brunswick Board of Education (BOE) had no comment after another fight broke out in one of their schools on the morning of November 15.

In this latest incident, a 14-year-old boy was arrested and charged with "juvenile offenses consistent with an assault on a school faculty member," according to New Brunswick Police Department (NBPD) Captain JT Miller.

Advocates: County Deer Management Program Not Effective

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Middlesex County began its 2016-2017 white-tailed deer-hunting season on November 19.

This will be followed by a six-day hunt on from December 5-10, and will conclude with a "winter bow hunt" on January 1, 2017.

The county-authorized hunting is part the government's "Deer Management Program," which is run in conjunction with the New Jersey Fish and Wildlife Division and spans 3,000 acres of land in Middlesex County.

South River Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting a 14-Year-Old Girl

SOUTH RIVER, NJ—A 25-year-old man from South River, Joseph A. Brown, is currently incarcerated at the Middlesex County Jail after being arrested on charges he sexually assaulted a 14-year old girl.

According to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office (MCPO) press release, Brown was arrested on November 11, the day after he allegedly had sexual relations with the teenager.

Highland Park Hosts Live Readings of Comic Books by Local Creators

HIGHLAND PARK, NJ—A local arts organization is hosting a "Comic In A Day" event at Pino's Gift Basket Shoppe and Wine Cellar, a popular bar and liquor store, on November 20.

The event will showcase three different comic books written over the course of 24 hours, and a winner will be determined by "celebrity guest and comic book legend Mark McKenna," according to a press release.
