NBPD Refuses to Identify Person Behind Domestic Violence Assault

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Breaking from his previous practices, the spokesman for the city's police deparment has refused to identify the perpetrator of an apparent domestic violence assault on June 26.

New Brunswick Police Department (NBPD) Captain JT Miller confirmed that there was indeed an assault that night at approximately 11:30pm.  But he said little else about the incident, even though the police were involved.

New Brunswick Hosts Event Touting Economic Impact of Non-Profit Housing Projects

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Non-profit community development corporations (CDC's) in Middlesex County have contributed $460 million towards the state’s economy, according to a new report from the Housing and Community Development Network of NJ (HCDNNJ).

The report, which touted a statewide economic impact of $12 billion, was released at a June 29 press event held inside "Promise House," a supportive needs housing project located on Redmond Street and funded by city non-profit Triple C Housing.

No se Levantaron Cargos Luego de que un Peatón Fue Atropellado en la Calle Suydam

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ–Un hombre fue atropellado por un vehículo deportivo utilario en frente de un edeficio de apartamentos localisado en la calle Suydam serca de la Avenida Railroad justo después de medianoche el domingo, Junio 26.

El conductor permanesio en la hecena, pero solo despues que testigos tomaron las llaves, y le dijieron que se quedara ayi despues que intento irse, esto conforme a un residente que precencio el choque.

No Charges After Pedestrian Struck on Suydam Street

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—A man was struck by a sport utility vehicle in front of an apartment building located on Suydam Street near Railroad Avenue  just after midnight on Sunday, June 26.

The driver remained on the scene, but only after witnesses took his keys away from him, and told him to stay there after he attempted to leave, according to a nearby resident who witnessed the crash.

The driver of the SUV was then let go after undergoing a field sobriety test administered by city police officers.

Ex Tesorera de la Autoridad de Servicios Públicos del Condado de Middlesex (MCUA) Mantiene la Mayor Parte de su Pensión Luego de Haber Robado Fondos Públicos

TRENTON, NJ— Margaret Brennan, la Tesorera y Contralor de la Autoridad de Servicios Públicos del Condado de Middlesex, quien lleva ocupando este cargo desde hace mucho tiempo, continuará recibiendo una pensión, después de haber sido descubierta robando $57,000 de dicha agencia pública.

La Autoridad de Servicios Públicos proporciona servicios de manejo de agua residual y gestión de residuos sólidos para la mayor parte del condado de Middlesex.
