Rutgers Student Charged With Throwing Drink at Taco Bell Worker

MILLTOWN, NJ–An 18-year-old Rutgers student was charged with assault after local police sought the public's help in identifying the suspect in a strange case.

Cole Cadigan, who apparently played football for Wall Township High School, was caught on video allegedly throwing a large soda at an employee of the Taco Bell immediately after purchasing it at the store's drive-thru window.

City Offers Grants For Small Businesses in French Street Area

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ–Stores, service businesses, and offices in the area of French Street and the surrounding area may qualify to receive grants of up to $20,000 to invest in "facade" improvements to the exterior of their buildings.

The program allows the city government to match the investment of individual businesses that want to improve their storefronts.

Rutgers Apologizes For Substandard Living Conditions in Newells

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Since December 2015, Rutgers University students living at the Newell Apartments have been experiencing frequent disruptions to heating, electricity, and hot water.

According to a report on NJ.com, an electrical line under the Newells ruptured, which the University says it would take full responsibility for in the form of an "inconvenience credit" reimbursed to impacted students.

Promise Church of God Honors City Police During Service

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Five New Brunswick police officers were the guests of honor at the energetic Sunday morning service held at Promise Church of God on March 5.

Captain Michael Bobadilla accepted a plaque from the church, and addressed the congregation, saying the city has come a long way during his time on the police force.

"Thank you for putting your life on the line daily to protect and serve the residents of New Brunswick," reads the plaque.  "May God Bless and Keep You Safe."
