Woodbridge School Official Suspended After Cocaine Charge

WOODBRIDGE, NJ—Just hours before the Township's Board of Education was scheduled to meet, news broke that their longtime Business Administrator Dennis DeMarino was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine.

Township Police say they found DeMarino had a gram of cocaine in his vehicle of February 18, during a traffic stop initiated after allegedly witnessing a drug deal in the parking lot of the school district administration building.

Edison Teachers Hosting Fifth Annual Charity Volleyball Tournament

EDISON, NJ–The Edison Township Education Association will be hosting their fifth annual charity volleyball tournament on Wednesday, February 25 at 6pm at J.P. Stevens High School, located at 855 Grove Avenue.

Tickets are available at the door and the proceeds go towards five charities chosen by the teachers' union.  There will be one team for each school in the district and a team for administration.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ–Otra víctima de robo de salarios ha recuperado con éxito los salarios impagados que datan de 2010 bajo la Ordenanza de Robo de Salarios de New Brunswick.

Cuando Irene López salió de su posición en La Hacienda en la 251 French St. en 2010, pidió que se preste el equilibrio de su salario a su partida.

Pero ella no los recibió.

Rutgers Symphony Orchestra and American Repertory Ballet Performing “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—The Rutgers Symphony Orchestra and the American Repertory Ballet will be collaborating once again to present a new full-length ballet based on Shakespeare’s comedy, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

The partnership comes on the heels of their 2013 collaboration of "Romeo and Juliet," another of Shakespeare's works.

One Man Shot in Leg at Barber Shop, Sparking Fight Near Health Sciences Technology High School

UPDATE (7:45PM): City police announced that they apprehended Cruz Bruno-Rioz, who had been identified by "several witnesses" as a suspect in the shooting, shortly after the incident.

This article has been updated to reflect the NBPD's statement, which also indicated that the shooting actually happened inside a barbershop near the intersection of French and Bayard Streets.
