Showdown Over New School Transportation Policy Set For BOE Meeting

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Hundreds if not thousands of New Brunswick Public School students have been left without transportation this year, after a surprising change in policy.

The upcoming Board Of Education meeting is expected to be attended by upset parents that are looking for a resolution, and members of local community organizations.

The meeting is set for Tuesday, September 20 at 7PM at the New Brunswick High School Auditorium, located at 1000 Somerset Street.

Is Rutgers Spying Case Destined For a New Trial in New Brunswick?

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—A lot has changed since Dharun Ravi was convicted of using his laptop computer to spy on his roommate at Rutgers University, the late Tyler Clementi, during a sexual encounter.

Clementi took his own life just two days after learning of the incident, where Ravi and another student briefly watched Clementi being intimate with another man by remotely activating his laptop's built-in camera.

Rutgers Ditches Pepsi, Switches to Coca-Cola Without a Contract

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ–On July 1, Rutgers University began the process of switching out Pepsi products with Coca-Cola products after 11 years of Pepsi under an exclusivity contract with the company.

But more than two and a half months later, officials at both Rutgers and Coca-Cola have refused to say just how much money will change hands under the new arrangement.

"It is Company policy that we don’t release any financials on our agreements with our partners," said Coca-Cola spokesperson Maria Pignataro.

Historic Music Series Wraps Up in Piscataway “Olde Town Village”

PISCATAWAY, NJ—A historic music series has been taking place recently on Sundays  at East Jersey Olde Town Village, a county-owned historic area located within Johnson Park at 1050 River Road in Piscataway.

The "village" features a collection of original, replicated, and reconstructed structures from the 18th and 19th centuries, such as the New Brunswick Barracks, Runyon House, Williamson Wheelwright Shop, Fitzrandolph House and Smalleytown Schoolhouse.
