Three Suspects Arrested in Drug Raid Near Livingston Avenue

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—On Friday September 18 at approximately 11:15 pm, the New Brunswick Police Department (NBPD) arrested three people following a raid in the Fourth Ward.

The bust came as the result of a narcotics investigation that led authorities to 1 Wellington Place, located between Livingston and Joyce Kilmer Avenues.

The NBPD raided the home and arrested 39-year-old Javier Gonzales, 23-year-old Jonathan Gonzales, and 35-year-old Magdalena Zambrzycka, all of whom are New Brunswick residents.

City Administrator Unsure If He Regrets Approving Failed Magic Trick

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—One day after a magician nearly drowned during a high-profile magic trick in downtown New Brunswick, the City Council voted unanimously to approve a road closure for the event.

That's right.  The Council had not signed off on the failed water stunt that involved a colleague of the famous Criss Angel, and had to approve it after the fact, or "nunc pro tunc."

Fall Home Show in Somerset Smaller Than Previous Years

SOMERSET, NJ–This year’s New Jersey Fall Home Show, a free two-day event produced by American Consumer Shows (ACS), opened on September 19 with only 77 booths inside a small section of the Garden State Exhibit Center.

ACS, a show promoter based in Long Island, organizes about 65-70 shows, including bridal shows, “nationwide” every year, Vice President of Finance, Michele M. Ryder, told New Brunswick Today during a break from asking people how they heard about the two-day event.
