NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—RWJ-Barnabas Health suddenly appointed a new CEO to lead Hub City’s Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, amid the recent resignation of Michael Antoniades.
While scant information is being released by the hospital organization, Antoniades was the CEO for about 14 months before he stepped down, and his resignation leaves many unanswered questions.

The conference promises to help novice and experienced writers, “polish your craft and publish your work.”
Those who register for the conference will be able to attend sessions within six tracks; creative non- fiction, the business of writing, poetry, fiction writing, writing for performance, and genre fiction.
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—A former drug treatment counselor at a Perth Amboy clinic "Journey to Wellness" has admitted to doling out favors for his clients in exchange for cash.
Anthony Trimble from Howell Township admitted to taking about $1,500 from his clients who had been placed on probation and providing them with favorable reports on their progress.
Trimble, age 54, pleaded guilty to a count of theft by unlawful taking as part of a plea deal that was reached with the Middlesex County Prosecutor Christine D'Elia.
TRENTON, NJ–New Jersey Attorney General Christopher S. Porrino announced on May 24 that the State will receive $1.04 million from a 42-state civil settlement with Johnson & Johnson.
The Garden State participated in the settlement to resolve allegations that J&J's McNeil-PPC unit "made false or misleading representations about its over-the-counter [OTC] products," while also distributing products that were "adulterated as a matter of federal law," according to Porrino.

SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ—Six men from Jersey City were arrested and charged in connection with "participating in a telephone scam that netted more than $120,000 from their victims," according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office (MCPO).
According to the official MCPO statement, "victims were led to believe they owed money to the IRS and would be arrested if they did not make restitution."
