Rutgers Pianists to Play Carnegie Hall on February 17

NEW YORK, NY—Several pianists from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University will be playing, “The Unknown Diabelli Variations” at Carnegie Hall, one of the world’s most famous music halls.

Located on 7th Avenue in Manhattan, the music hall opened in 1891, having been commissioned by businessman Andrew Carnegie, and designed by architect William Burnet Tuthill.

Among musicians and performers, it is usually considered an honor to take the stage there.

Edison HS Marching Band Brings Pride to Hometown With Second National Championship

EDISON, NJ—The Edison High School Marching Eagles have been soaring ever since they completed another extremely successful season, and earned a second national championship.

Currently, the team are two-time defending State and National Champions, which makes them undefeated since 2013.

Supporters say that the students who are a part of the Marching Eagles are extremely talented and hard-working individuals, on and off the field, and the team is looking forward to another strong season in 2015.

Rutgers Field Hockey Team Makes Conference Tournament in Their First Year Competing in Big Ten

ANN ARBOR, MI—In their first postseason appearance since 2010, the Rutgers Field Hockey Team particiapted in the Big 10 Conference Tournament last week, completing their first season in the new conference.

After winning three games in a row at home to finish out the season, the team traveled to face the University of Michigan in the tournament, but lost 3-1 on November 6.

Head Field Hockey Coach Meredith Long finally got the job leading the team in 2012, after years as an assistant coach.

Rutgers Belly Dance Troupe Hosts Annual Fall Hafla

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—On Friday November 14, at 8pm in Trayes Hall of the Douglass Student Center, located at 100 George Street the Rutgers Belly Dance Troupe will be hosting their biggest event of the semester, known as the “ Fall Hafla.”

Hafla, an Arabic term meaning “party,” is a Rutgers Belly Dance tradition that takes place in both the fall and spring semesters of each school year.
