NBHS Football Team Wins 21-14 Over Freehold Township in Playoffs

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—On a windy night with temperatures in the mid-40's, the New Brunswick Zebras (9-1) battled the visiting Freehold Township Patriots (4-6) in the first round of the New Jersey Central Group V state tournament.

The wind proved to be a factor as it picked up in the second half, making it near impossible for either team to complete passes.

In their meeting earlier in the regular season, the Zebras won 38-28 in a high-scoring game.

New Brunswick Zebras Football Team Heading to Playoffs

METUCHEN, NJ— For the first time since 2009, the New Brunswick Zebras football team is heading to the state playoffs.

On a breezy and cloudy Saturday afternoon, the New Brunswick Zebras (8-1) needed to bounce back from their first loss of the season and secure a road win against a rigid St. Joseph Falcons (3-5) team to secure a playoff berth.

In a run-dominated game, each team clashed in the trenches, hardly attacking through the air.

This was a game loaded with penalty after penalty, constantly stopping the clock.

NBHS Football Team One Win Away From GMC White Division Title

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—How in the world did the New Brunswick High School football team get so good?

It seems the stars have finally aligned for this football team, as the 7-1 Zebras are poised to clinch a division title, if they can defeat St. Joseph's High School on November 7.

The Zebras are currently sitting atop the Greater Middlesex Conference White Division, just ahead of South Plainfield and Colonia.

NBHS Freshmen and JV Boys Soccer Teams Win Conference Titles

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ–This season has been magical for the New Brunswick High School boys soccer program, as the varsity, junior varsity (JV), and freshman teams have racked up a total of 45 wins and only two losses.

Although the Zebras varsity team was eliminated by South Plainfield in the Greater Middlesex Conference (GMC) tournament, in their first loss all season, they still have the state championship tournament to look forward to.

South Brunswick and South Plainfield Tie For Greater Middlesex Conference Soccer Title

WOODBRIDGE, NJ—On a chilly Halloween night, the top-seeded South Brunswick Vikings boys' soccer team collided with the red hot sixth-seeded South Plainfield Tigers, in a gruesome battle for the Greater Middlesex Conference County Championship.

The atmosphere was electric, as parents, students, and fans packed Nicholas A. Priscoe Stadium in Woodbridge, NJ, cheering and screaming at every play made in the match.

Undefeated NBHS Boys Soccer Team Wins GMC White Division

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ–The New Brunswick boys varsity soccer team is the new champions of the Greater Middlesex Conference White Division.

The team remains convincingly undefeated (14-0-0) as it is now ranked No. 20 in the state, having beaten each white division opponent twice.

On October 8, the Zebras had to take care of business against the South Plainfield Tigers (12-5-0) to claim the white division title. With South Plainfield's only loss in the division coming against New Brunswick, the title was up for grabs.
