Middlesex County Groups Hold 5K For Pancreatic Cancer Awareness

EDISON, NJ—On Saturday, June 11, Middlesex County groups will hold the 8th annual 5K run and walk for pancreatic cancer awareness. 

This run or walk will also double as an opportunity to raise funds for research and to support the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.

Participants can choose to either run or walk the certified USA Track and Field certified course. The race will be held at Roosevelt Park in Edison. Registration begins at 8:00 AM and the race will start at 9:00 AM.

Four Original Dance Pieces Inspired by Local Community Groups

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—On Thursday, April 28, at 7pm at the Crossroads Theatre, coLAB Arts will present its annual dance concert.

Entitled Motion: Dance Works, the concert will feature four original pieces choreographed specifically for this event.

Each piece, created by choreographers Joe Monteleone, Stephanie Nerbak, Robert Mark Burke, and Hillary Pearson, will channel a specific local community organization.

Time For Some Traffic Problems Across New Jersey

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Early on Sunday, March 13, NJ TRANSIT will shut down all railroad service if the agency's administration cannot reach a deal with a coalition of unions representing the railroad workers.

"NJ TRANSIT Rail Operations faces the prospect of a systemwide shutdown should the membership of its rail union opt to participate in a work stoppage," reads an alert on the NJTransit.com website.

Demented Brewery Brings Scarlet Night Beer, Among Other Local Craft Favorites, to New Brunswick

MIDDLESEX, NJ–Inspired by the Jersey Devil, the legendary monster that haunts the Pine Barrens, Demented Brewery in Middlesex is bringing a unique craft beer drinking experience to Central Jersey.

“I remember hearing stories about the Jersey Devil when I was growing up, and [the name] Demented just popped into my head,” said owner Tom Zuber.
