NJ Transit Police Arrest Suspected Luggage Thieves

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—On April 15, the New Jersey Transit Police Department (NJTPD) apprehended a suspect who was wanted in connection with a scheme to steal luggage from unsuspecting travelers at the New Brunswick train station on Albany Street.

The NJTPD identified one of the robbery suspects as Robert Carter Jr. of New Brunswick.  Jennifer M. Nelson, the Senior Public Information Officer for NJ Transit, said that their detective had already had a warrant out for Carter’s arrest.

City Police Investigating Home Invasion Where Rutgers Student Was Punched in Face

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—The New Brunswick Police Department (NBPD) is investigating a home invasion robbery on Huntington Street near the Rutgers University campus, which was reported at approximately 12:45am on April 10.

According to the authorities, three male suspects entered the victims' residence through an unlocked back door, entered bedrooms and demanded money.

NBPD Seeking Suspect From North Brunswick in Recent Shootings

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—The New Brunswick Police Department (NBPD) announced additional charges against new suspects in an investigation into shootings during the weekend of March 21-22, including two more arrests and three persons who are wanted.

The investigation led police to search several vehicles and residences, according to a police press release.  The result was new charges, in some cases for guns and others for narcotics offenses.

NBPD Makes Arrests in Franklin and Edison in Connection With Class Place Shooting

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—The New Brunswick Police Department (NBPD) has arrested two men they say were involved in a shooting that injured a 17-year-old and a 22-year-old near New Brunswick High School.

The first suspect, 24-year-old male Christopher Smith, was arrested at approximately 4:00 p.m. on March 24 outside of his residence in Franklin Township.

Ocean County Police Seeking Rutgers Student Wanted For Credit Card Fraud

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—The Stafford Township Police Department has issued a $50,000 arrest warrant for Rutgers student Terence Flaherty, a 28-year-old resident of New Brunswick.

According to the Stafford Police, Flaherty is wanted for credit card fraud and theft.  Flaherty, a white male, has not been located at his New Brunswick address.

Flaherty has been known to frequent Morris Plains, Barnegat Township, and the New Brunswick campus of Rutgers University, according to authorities.
