Over $50,000 Worth of Cocaine Seized by Police in Latest Bust

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—About $55,000 in cash, drugs, and weapons were seized from a New Brunswick man during a drug bust in Franklin last week.

Hugo Manuel Sanchez Luengas, 32, was arrested by police in Franklin Township after authorities received a tip that he would be driving his black SUV to a parking lot on Hamilton Street to deliver a large quantity of cocaine, according to a report on NJ.com.

Two Stabbed at Howard Johnson Hotel on Route 1

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—A non-fatal stabbing took place at the Howard Johnson Express Inn in New Brunswick late Friday night.

According to a report on NJ.com, a 23-year-old of Somerset was stabbed in the stomach, while an 18-year-old of North Brunswick suffered a puncture wound to his thigh.

But, according to the report, the two victims gave conflicting accounts of the incident and "couldn't provide a description of the assailant."

38th Annual Hungarian Festival All Day Saturday Along Somerset Street

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—This Saturday, thousands are expected to flock to the city's annual Hungarian Festival will be taking place on Somerset Street in New Brunswick.

The festival will be celebrating its 38th consecutive year, offering the public an opportunity to experience Hungarian culture for the day.

Greg Hajdu-Nemeth of the American Hungarian Foundation said, “Every year attendees get to see the dances, hear the music, and enjoy the food of Hungary.”
