Rutgers Art School Hosts Free Summer Concert Series

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—This month and into August, the Mason Gross School of Arts will be putting on the annual Mason Gross Summer Series.

Every summer, the school hosts a variety of music, dance and theater performances, all free of charge. 

Dates are set for the 16th, 23rd, 24th, and 30th of July, as well as the 6th of August, and will alternate between the Nicholas Music Center and the Victoria J. Mastrobuono Center.

Library Hosting Events to Commemorate 350th Birthday of New Jersey

 NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—The New Brunswick Free Public Library will be hosting two free events and a "historic photo contest" as part of its observation of NJ350, the 350th birthday celebration of the state of New Jersey. 

For the entire year, municipalities across the state will be holding an array of celebrations, ranging from contests to public performances to lectures to exhibits. NJ350 has marked three themes that it will observe over the year: innovation, diversity and liberty.

Feds Approve Proposed Rutgers Seismic Research Off Jersey Shore, But Christie Administration Pushes Back

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—In response to federal approval of a controversial seismic imaging research project that would take place of the Jersey shore, the New Jersey state governmnt has filed for an injunction to halt the study. 

"The state has filed legal papers to seek injunctive relief in federal court to prevent the vessel, R/V Marcus G. Langseth, from conducting seismic research off the coast of New Jersey at this time," reads an announcement made by the  New Jersey Department of Environmental (DEP) today.

Two New Brunswick Residents Arrested for Stealing Valuables and Tiny Dog in Franklin

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Two New Brunswick residents have been arrested and charged for the burglary of a dog, a one-year-old Schnoodle dog named "Pepper" along with over $12,000 in jewelery and property.

When the Franklin Township resident reported the theft of her property and dog to the police, they in turn contacted nearby animal shelters, local media and veterinarians.
