Police: NBMS Faculty Member Assaulted by 14-Year-Old Student

NEW BRUNSWICK NJ—The New Brunswick Board of Education (BOE) had no comment after another fight broke out in one of their schools on the morning of November 15.

In this latest incident, a 14-year-old boy was arrested and charged with "juvenile offenses consistent with an assault on a school faculty member," according to New Brunswick Police Department (NBPD) Captain JT Miller.

Halloween Hit-and-Run Leaves Young Girl and Toddler Injured

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—The New Brunswick Police Department (NBPD) is investigating a hit and run crash that injured two young pedestrians on Halloween night.

On October 31, shortly after 6:30pm, a mother and her three children were crossing Livingston Avenue at the intersection of Wellington Place and Lawrence Street when a Toyota Camry struck two of the persons,

The victims were identified as a 14-month-old female toddler that was in her stroller and a 8-year-old girl that was walking with her.

Police Threaten City Residents While Searching For Suspect

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—On Wednesday, October 12, just after 7am, a city family was visited by some unknown law enforcement agents who threatened them with future harassment and arrests if they are seen in public.

According to the family, who lives on Seaman Street, the officers were looking for a man who no longer lives there.

An officer showed papers to one of the home's residents, after being asked if they had legal authority to enter the home.

Two Men Injured During Violent Attack on Suydam Street

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Police are investigating an attack that happened shortly before midnight on Thursday, October 6 on Suydam Street near French Street.

According to Captain J.T. Miller of the New Brunswick Police Department (NBPD), two New Brunswick residents ages 22 and 25 were “assaulted, and received non-life threatening lacerations to the abdomen.”

Witnesses said they heard a commotion and minutes later the area was stormed by police and ambulances.

Presidente de la Junta Educativa de Dunellen Arrestado con Cargos de Pornografía Infantil

DUNELLEN, NJ– El Presidente de la Junta Educativa de Dunellen, Phillip C. Heiney, de 67 años de edad, fue arrestado temprano en la mañana del 23 de Agosto por pornografia infantil, según las autoridades.

Heiney, que también representa al distrito educativo de Dunellen en la Junta de la Comisión de Servicios Educativos de NJ, enfrenta cargos por presunta distribución de pornofrafía infantil en una red de intercambio.
