NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ--There is going to be an info session about composting, and potluck dinner tonight from 6pm-8pm at the New Brunswick Free Public Library, located at 60 Livingston Avenue.

This event has been sponsored by Elijah’s Promise, the New Brunswick Community Food Alliance, and the New Brunswick Environmental Commission.

As Earth Day rolls around, it is important to not only celebrate, but make a commitment to change.  Food waste is an astronomical problem that can be reduced with simple lifestyle changes.

PISCATAWAY, NJ—On the night of June 18, 2009, Gabriel Hurley made a quick run to a convenience store for some last-minute groceries.

That drive resulted in a massive head-on collision, which rendered Hurley permanently blind in both eyes, and with no sense of smell.

The air conditioner compressor unit had catapulted through the windshield of Hurley’s car, embedding itself directly into his face.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Community members gathered last night for a candlelight vigil behind the chapel on the Douglass campus of Rutgers to remember a young woman whose brutal murder on Baldwin Street has shaken the city.

Eryicka Morgan, 26, was stabbed to death following an argument with a fellow housemate.  As we reported last week, Devonte Scott was arrested and charged with the murder the next morning.
