    NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Tonight, the Rutgers University Programing Association will host an event that has become a fan favorite: the 6th Annual Charity Bed Race as part of the school's homecoming celebration.

    Other Homecoming weekend events include the Rutgers home football game against Houston (Saturday at noon) and a 5K to raise funds for Rutgers Against Hunger (Sunday at 9am).

    NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Tonight, rapper A$AP Ferg will be headlining a show at the State Theater for Rutgers students and their guests at the historic State Theatre.

    At least once a year, the Rutgers University Programming Association (RUPA) organizes and sponsors a concert nicknamed "Beats on the Banks."

    Using student fees to help subsidize the event, RUPA has booked three popular hip hop recording artists: A$AP Ferg, Ab-Soul, and Joey BadA$$.

    NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Last Saturday, runners from over New Jersey took part in the 9th annual Jimmy D 5K and Women’s 5K State Championship, beginning at the New Brunswick Middle School.

    This annual run is held in memory of Deputy Chief James D’heron, a firefighter who died in the line of duty on September 3, 2004 while responding to a fire at a city residence.
