NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ—North Brunswick's police chief said a township police officer used "great restraint" in apprehending a New Brunswick man, according to a report on NJ.com.

Officer Robert Frangella arrested the Ryshawn Cromedy, a 25-year-old man who hails from New Brunswick after a footchase.  Officers later recovered at loaded .46 caliber gun he had discarded, according to the report.

The department had recieved a call about a man with a gun who was walking with three others.  According to the report, the three others fled as well.

The incident occurred in the Governor's Pointe Development, just off of Commerce Drive.
