Murphy Campaign Event Kaiboshed Crucial Housing Authority Meeting

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Hoping to become the next Governor, Phil Murphy drew dozens of locals to Gambino's Inn on Remsen Avenue, a crowd that included one-third of the New Brunswick Housing Authority (NBHA) Board of Commissioners.

Just 15 minutes before Murphy's "town hall" event on October 25, the board was supposed to meet for the first time since a scathing federal audit questioned over $1.4 million in spending.

Work Out World Rebrands, Changing Name of Its 11 Garden State Gyms

EDISON, NJ–Work Out World (WoW) has changed the name of the eleven fitness clubs it operates in New Jersey, capitalizing on the name of a foundation started by its owners.

A Google search for “Jersey Strong Foundation” leads one to JerseyStrong.com, a website pitching their gym business, which was recently renamed “Jersey Strong.”

Launched in 2007 as the "Work Out World Foundation," the nonprofit rebranded in the wake of Superstorm Sandy.

County College Teachers Voice Healthcare Concerns to Freeholders

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Professors and faculty of Middlesex County College appeared before the county's Board of Chosen Freeholders on October 12, and voiced their concerns regarding the “unfortunate” state of their school.

A half-dozen employees of the college addressed a myriad of issues at the public meeting, including soaring textbook prices, high healthcare costs, and insufficient numbers of qualified teachers.
