Sayreville PD Officer Quits After Admitting Guilt in Dashcam Cover-up

SAYREVILLE, NJ–A police officer lost his job after admitting he covered up his patrol car's dashboard camera while running a “quick, personal errand.”

James P. Pizzillo, age 33, pleaded guilty to a fourth-degree charge of tampering with public records on August 3.

Pizzillo was admitted into the pre-trial intervention (PTI) program by Judge Michael Toto on September 25.

The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office had recommended one to five years of probation, without any jail time.

Alleged MS-13 Member Found in Boston Charged With NJ Murder

PERTH AMBOY, NJ—A murder case that begin with the body of an 18-year-old man being found on Conrail property in Perth Amboy led to a murder charge against a man from El Salvador who was arrested over 200 miles away on unrelated charges.

The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office (MCPO) identified the young victim as Perth Amboy resident Jose David Guardado-Leiva on August 28, three days after his body was found by a passerby near William Street.

Altice Makes Low-Cost Broadband Service Available in Hub City

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ– New Brunswick's main cable provider, Altice USA, is offering eligible families and senior citizens fast internet service for just $15 a month.

As of September, "Economy Internet" low-cost broadband service has been available to new residential customers who qualify for the National School Lunch Program or senior citizens eligible for Supplemental Security Income, announced the company recently.

Man Gets 25-Year Sentence in 2014 Perth Amboy Kidnapping

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ–A Perth Amboy man was sentenced to a 25-year prison term for a previously undisclosed kidnapping in 2014 , according to an announcement from the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office (MCPO).

Francisco Green, age 35, was found guilty of first-degree kidnapping and second-degree attempted aggravated sexual assault after a 7-day jury trial at the Middlesex County Courthouse in New Brunswick back in January.
