Estudio: Falta de vivienda aumentĂł 20% en el Condado de Middlesex

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—SegĂşn la encuesta “Point in Time” (PIT, punto en el tiempo,–un conteo anual de personas sin hogar en todo el estado–hizo por la organizaciĂłn NJCounts, el nĂşmero de personas sin hogar en New Jersey ha disminuido por 409.

Sin embargo, el Condado de Middlesex vio un aumento de 20% en personas sin hogar, segĂşn el informe elaborado por Monarch Housing Associates.

18-Year-Old Woman Shot and Killed in Somerset, Suspect Fled to NB

SOMERSET, NJ—An 18-year-old man from Park Street shot and killed Chamari Webb, an 18-year-old woman on Battle Place in the Somerset section of the Township on August 9, according to authorities.

The tragic killing took place on the block where the young woman resided shortly before 8am on a Wednesday morning.  Webb was hospitalized and pronounced dead by 8:29am.

According to authorities, the suspect and victim encountered one another at a Millstone Road deli shortly before the fatal shooting.

J&J Ordered to Hand Over $417 Million in Significant Talc Verdict

LOS ANGELES, CA–On August 21, a 63-year-old woman with terminal ovarian cancer won her lawsuit against Johnson & Johnson (J&J) over claims its talc-based bath products caused her disease.

Eva Echeverria, like many other women currently suing J&J, used common personal hygiene products that contained talc like Johnson’s baby powder and Shower to Shower.

Echeverria was diagnosed with cancer in 2007. Now, a decade later, a jury awarded her $70 million in compensatory damages and $347 million in punitive damages.

Originally from Trenton, Easton lives in Cranbury and is the Founder and Director of About Birds, LLC, where she gives presentations about birds, their natural history, native plants, gardening for wildlife and more.

Hombre de New Brunswick confiesa en un fraude de $2 millones sobre un préstamo SBA falso

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ–El 19 de julio, un residente de New Brunswick confesó que cometió un fraude cuando uso fraudulentamente un préstamo federal de $2 millones para sus gastos personales, de acuerdo a la publicación de prensa del Departamento de Justicia (DOJ)

El hombre de 58 años, John Cheng, se declaró culpable en las cortes federales de Newark por cargos relacionados al fraude de solicitud de préstamo.
