"The Sister Network is a great local group that works tirelessly to assit and advocate for women dealing with this disease and we're proud to support the excellent work that they do," said Fire Director Robert Rawls.

The month of October is nationally known as breast cancer awareness month.

"The men and women of our Fire Department have seen breast cancer affect the lives of thier mothers, sisters, wives, friends, and neighbors," said Rawls.

In honor of them, the NBFD will perform thier duties in pink to bring awareness for the cause.
