NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ–The city has been hosting many events through out this summer, and the weekend of August 27 is no exception.

On August 27, downtown New Brunswick will host its First Annual Caribbean Festival.

The event will bring Caribbean cultural music, dance and food. from 1pm-6pm on Livingston Avenue in between George Street and New Street.

It’s free and open to the public, although there will be vendors selling their merchandice for those who wish to purchase.

Musicians and dancers such as Eloh Kush, Kendra Granville and the Haitian All-Starz band are just some of many performances.

Hub City Sounds will be hosting more events like this on the month of September:

  • Rock New Brunswick from 12pm to 6pm on September 11. This event includes punk music and other performances.
  • 4th Annual Central Jersey Jazz Festival from 1pm to 6pm on September 17.
  • Corazón Latino Festival. This evtnt includes traditional dancing, music and food.
