NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ–Summer is officially here and residents of New Brunswick are finding unique ways of spending their time to enjoy their relaxing, seasonal break.

The city’s historic State Theatre, located on Livingston Avenue, will be offering free screenings of several films on Tuesdays now though mid-August.

On July 12, at 10:30 AM, the State Theatre of Livingston Ave. will be hosting a free screening of the Disney animated classic, “Frozen,” starring Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel.

Another screening will be held later that night, at 7:00PM.

The film will be showcased in high definition on a 46-foot wide screen. Filmgoers can take pleasure witnessing the adventures of Princess Elsa and her sister Princess Anna in glorious HD viewing.

The films include classics such as “E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial,” “Despicable Me 2,” “Babe,” and “Monsters University.”

“E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial,” the classic Steven Spielberg film starring Henry Thomas, will be shown on July 19 at 10:30AM and 7PM.

The State Theatre will be also show “Despicable Me 2,” the lovely animated comedy starring Steve Carell, on July 26 at 10:30AM and 7PM.

Filmgoers will also be able to catch “Babe,” the memorable family film starring James Cromwell and Christine Cavanaugh, on August 2 at 10:30AM and 7PM.

“Monsters University,” the Disney/Pixar animated comedy starring John Goodman and Billy Crystal, will be available on August 09.

Patrons at the State Theatre can also catch additional performances such as Bobby Bandiera & Friends: The Music of David Bowie on August 6.
