NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—City Market, the organization associated with downtown’s special improvement district (SID), invites the community to indulge in “the most delicious two weeks of summer” as it celebrates its 7th annual Restaurant Week from July 9 through July 23.

Shining a spotlight on New Brunswick as a “culinary destination,” Restaurant Week unites the Hub City’s internationally diverse range of chefs, who will be cooking up mouth-watering dishes at the 36 different restaurants offering special deals during this 15-day extravaganza.

The goal is to bring more business to the New Brunswick area during an ordinarily slow time for the restaurant and hospitality industry.

“Diners will be able to taste the district’s celebrated food scene, enjoy the sounds of strolling musicians and have the chance to win prizes from participating restaurants, hotels and cultural venues,” reads a press release from City Market.

In downtown and at some restaurants outside of the City Market district, restaurants will be offering a prix fixe menu or lunch and dinner special, showcasing signature styles, catering to all tastes and budgets.

For the third straight year, more than 35 establishments are participating, including some located outside of downtown, such as Houlihan’s, Costa Chica, Las Cazuelas, Pizza City, and Papa Grande Grille.

Among the restaurants returning from last year or joining for the first time, with special offers for Restaurant Week are:
