NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ–On Saturday, April 30 from 10am-4pm, Rutgers University invites New Jersey residents of all ages to join in the annual Rutgers Day celebration.

As part of the yearlong celebration for the university’s 250th anniversary, all three campuses–Camden, New Brunswick and Newark–will host interactive programming and activities for those who attend.

This annual event acts as a welcoming show-and-tell, where New Jersey residents can see the valuable contributions that Rutgers University makes to the community, and includes hands-on activities, science demonstrations, free performances.

Free parking will be available for visitors on all three campuses, no registration is required.

This year, Rutgers Day also coincides with Alumni Weekend. Programs on both Friday and Saturday will allow former students and staff to meet up and reconnect.

Activities available specifically for alumni will include class dinners, campus ours, alumni brunch, beer tasting and more. Former students can enjoy refreshments at alumni tents located on all three campuses. These series of events are presented by the Rutgers University Alumni Association.

Rutgers Day kicks off the celebration on College Ave Campus, where a Rutgers Day Parade will begin at approximately 10:30 A.M featuring historical, costumed characters from the past and a performance by the Rutgers Marching Band at the conclusion of the parade.
