Rutgers Wrestling Earns Highest Ranking in Program History

PISCATAWAY, NJ–An outstanding season got even better for the Rutgers Wrestling team on January 12, as the latest USA Today poll ranked the Scarlet Knights #6 in the country, the highest ranking in program in history.

After a successful first season in the Big Ten in 2014-15, Scott Goodale’s team has taken huge steps in 2015-16.

The Scarlet Knights currently sit at 11-2 on the season, and are coming off their first Big Ten shutout after dominating Michigan State 34-0 at the RAC on January 8.

Fire Department Rescues Man Who Fell Down Elevator Shaft at New Brunswick Train Station

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—NJTransit Police are investigating how a 36-year-old man fell almost three stories down an elevator shaft at the city's downtown train station at about 5:40am on January 18.

The man, who came from New York City, suffered injuries to his back and was taken to nearby Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (RWJUH) for treatment after he was rescued by the New Brunswick Fire Department (NBFD).

Middlesex County to Hold Sheriff’s Academy at Training Center in Edison This April

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—The Middlesex County Sheriff's Office will hold its Civilian Academy in April, according to an announcement from Sheriff Mildred S. Scott.

Scott announced that her office would be holding a Sheriff's Civilian Academy for Middlesex County residents.

The academy will be held weekly and last eight weeks. The classes will be taught at the Middlesex County Police Training Center on North Patrol Road in Edison.
