UPDATE (12/17): NBPD Captain JT Miller confirmed the incident, but referred to it as “an assault (laceration with a cutting instrument).”  The victim is 36 years old and was hospitalized with “a non-life threatening injury.”
“The preliminary investigation suggests the assault stems from a domestic relationship,” said Miller.
“The assault is actively being investigated by New Brunswick Police detectives.”
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—According to police radio transmissions, a woman was stabbed in the vicinity of 272 Livingston Avenue, near the intersection with Talmadge Street, shortly before 10am on December 16.
It’s not clear from the transmissions if any arrests were made, but the woman was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital with a stab wound to her abdomen.
Police were looking for two Hispanic men in their early twenties who fled on bicycles. Â One man had long hair and was wearing a grey sweatshirt and black jeans, according to the transmissions.
As we reported, the New Brunswick Police Department (NBPD) is seeking to keep radio transmissions like this from the public.
