MCFOODS Says Its Supply of Food is Running Low

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ–The Middlesex County Food Organization and Outreach Distribution Services (MCFOODS) has announced there is a shortage of stored food, in the hopes of sparking donations.

The County Food Bank’s Warehouse Manager Tom Ellison confirmed there are just ten large containers of food left in the agency's new facility.

MCFOODS, a program of the Middlesex County Improvment Authority (MCIA), recently relocated its headquarters to East Brunswick from New Brunswick.

S&P Downgrades Rutgers’ Credit Rating, Citing Medical School Merger

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Standard & Poor’s ratings agency issued another downgrade to Rutgers University's credit, citing drained financial resources which came as a result of the Rutgers-UMDNJ merger. 

The agency also lowered Rutger's long-term bond and debt ratings one notch from AA- to A+. Among other downgraded ratings were the commercial paper rating, which went from A-1 to A-1+.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ — Un concierto punk energético presentando a artistas locales de la esfera musical de New Brunswick ocurrió en Boyd Park el sábado, 12 de septiembre.

En una tarde cálida y nublosa, los artistas y el público estaban agradecido por un día sin lluvia.

Varios grupos de Don Giovanni Records y también artistas locales de Rutgers y de escuelas secundarias de New Brunswick realizaron su música.

New Report Shines Light on Plight of Temp Workers

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—A new report produced by New Labor, a non-profit workers' rights organization, in partnership with the Center for Women and Work at Rutgers University, has revealed vast deficiences in the treatment of temporary workers in New Jersey.

The findings contained in the report, titled "Controlled Chaos," were gathered in 2014 from focus groups of "perma-temp" warehouse workers in New Jersey.

State and Federal Authorities Sponsor Discussion After Police Shooting in Trenton

TRENTON, NJ—In response to a police shooting that nearly killed a 14-year-old boy, panel discussions and a rally for justice will take place  at the Trenton War Memorial (1 Memorial Drive) from 8:30am until 3:45pm on September 30.

The discussions are being co-sponsored by the US Department of Justice (USDOJ) and the NJ Attorney General's Office, and their event is titled "Building Trust: Police/Community Relationships."

After Rutgers Admits to Having Inadequate Cyber Security, Another Crippling Attack

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Rutgers University's computer networks have once again been attacked and forced offline, apparently by the same anonymous person who crippled the university's systems several times last semester.

The attacks come after officials reassured the campus community that the school had poured upwards of $3 million into improving its cybersecurity following a slew of attacks during the spring semester.
