33-Year-Old Man Convicted of Aggravated Sexual Assault

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ–A jury at the Middlesex County Courthouse found a 33-year-old man guilty of sexually assaulting a woman while she was at a friend’s home in New Brunswick in 2013.

Middlesex County Assistant Prosecutor Allysa Gambarella presented evidence and testimony showing that the victim, a 33-year-old woman, was unconscious on a couch when Charles Lucas sexually assaulted her in the early morning hours of March 17, 2013.

Classic Shakespeare Play Set at Rutgers Gardens

NORTH BRUNSWICK,NJ–A troupe of 23 actors has adapted Shakespeare's classic play, "A Midsummer Night's Dream," and on July 25, will be putting on their final show.

"A Midsummer Night's Dream" is the first show produced by ReThink Theatrical, an independant theater company started by Thomas Young and Stephany Van Huss.

The play cost literally nothing to produce, according to the directors, and tickets are also free to the general public.

Rutgers Professor, Pioneer in Researching Health Effects of 9/11 Dust, Dies at Age 68

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ–The few weeks that have passed since Dr. Paul James Lioy died suddenly on Wednesday, July 8, have done little to pacify the loss felt by the Rutgers community, his family, friends and his colleagues.

Dr. Lioy, 68, taught at Rutgers University and pioneered the study of the health effects of the dust left by the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.

Officials: Warehouse School Will Again Host New Brunswick Children in September

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—The city's school district is once again preparing to use a warehouse on Van Dyke Avenue as a temporary school facility, while a new school is being built at the former St. Peter's campus on Somerset Street.

District officials shy away from using the word "warehouse," and instead referred to the industrial building as "the swing space" or "building 40" during the July 21 Board of Education meeting.

Rutgers se prepara para su aniversario número 250, revelando su nuevo escudo

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ– La Universidad de Rutgers ha lanzado el diseño de un nuevo escudo de la universidad en honor a su celebración de aniversario número 250, con festividades que comenzarán este otoño en su aniversario número 249.

El escudo reemplazá a un escudo heráldico, el cual es usado en el confalón de la universidad que fue creado para su bicentenario en 1966.
