NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—The Rutgers University Alumni Wind Symphony will be hosting its annual Spring Concert, on Saturday, May 9, at 8:00pm.

The concert will be held at the Nicholas Music Center on Douglass campus, located at 85 George Street and is free to the public.

The performance will feature songs from one of New Jersey’s most famous peformers Frank Sinatra, as well as the film Jurassic Park, and the theatre production, Jersey Boys.

According to the organization’s webpage, the Ensemble was formed in 1983, after a group of Rutgers alumni decided they wanted an outlet to continue their performances, after graduating.

The organization now consists of community members, alongside its Rutgers graduates, and is run by volunteers, with help from the Rutgers University Band Alumni Association.

The ensemble consists of woodwinds,  brass, and percussion.
