NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ–The Rutgers University Police Department (RUPD) is investigating an act of criminal sexual contact reported on April 15 at approximately 9:20 p.m.

The incident occurred inside the women’s bathroom on the second floor of the Alexander Library located on College Avenue near Senior Street.

According to the RUPD, the suspect entered the second floor women’s bathroom, exposed himself, and inappropriately touched a female victim.

Authorities said that victim alerted a friend who then entered the bathroom only to witness the suspect exposing himself.

That is when the suspect decided to touch the second woman on her buttocks before fleeing the area, according to the RUPD crime alert.

The suspect has been described as an Asian Indian man, approximately 5′ 4″ tall and between 18 and 21 years old.  The RUPD said he was also wearing blue jeans, a light blue shirt with light pin stripes, and black wire-rimmed glasses.

The RUPD is actively investigating this incident and asks that anyone with information, or who may have been in the area at the time, contact the Rutgers Police Department’s Detective Bureau at 848-932-8025.
