NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ- The Rutgers University Police Department (RUPD) is investigating a report of criminal sexual contact, at least the second in three days.

This incident reportedly occurred during the morning of Monday, February 9, at approximately 10:30 a.m., in the first floor stairwell of parking garage at University Center, better known as the Easton Avenue Apartments.

The victim was affiliated with the University and “reported that a male suspect intentionally struck her on the buttocks with his hand as she was walking to her vehicle.”

According to the RUPD, the victim was not injured and the suspect was last seen walking down Easton Avenue in the direction of Hamilton Street.

The alert described the perpetrator as “a 5’6” to 5’7” black male with no facial hair and wearing a puffy olive green North Face style jacket with blue jeans and wearing a brown flat cap.”

The RUPD asks that anyone with information, or who may have been in the area at the time, to contact their Detective Bureau at (848) 932-8025.
