NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Police in the Hub City announced they are investigating yet another shooting incident, the second in as many days.  Both cases are unsolved and police are seeking the public’s help.

This time no one was hit, but a parked 2004 silver Mercedes was hit with two gunshots, according to authorities.

According to a NBPD press release touting recent arrests in unrelated incidents, police said they are looking into a reported “shots fired” incident around 9pm on January 6.

The incident took place on Rutgers Street, located near Livingston Avenue, in the city’s Fourth Ward.

“Detectives are actively investigating this incident along with January 5th’s shooting,” reads the police statement, referring to a shooting on French Street near Baldwin Street.

Police also announced for the first time that a shooting occurred very nearby on Livingston Avenue, near the corner with Ellen Street in the early morning hours of December 24.  One man has been charged in that incident but it is not clear if he has been arrested.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the New Brunswick Police Detective Bureau at (732) 745-5217.
