EDISON, NJ–A Walmart Market Manager, who travels to a variety of different stores, said the gathering of protesters standing outside the South Edison Walmart on Friday morning holding signs such as “Low Low Pay – Just Not OK” or chanting “Go to Costco, don’t shop at Walmart” was just an organization that would like to disrupt everyone’s shopping day.
But outside, demonstrating on a cold fall morning, the group was not made up of any one organization.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Alan Simpson, former Republican US Senator from Wyoming, discussed the world of politics during a guest appearance Friday morning November 22, in an event presented and hosted in Scott Hall by the Eagleton Institute of Politics.
Simpson served three six-year terms in the Senate and was the Republican whip from 1984-1994.

Sheriff Promotes Six, Including New Chief Warrant Officer
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—Less than 24 hours after New Brunswick Police Department promoted five officers, the Middlesex County Sheriff's Office was not to be outdone.
Sheriff Mildred Scott promoted six officers in total during a ceremony in courtroom #201 of the Middlesex County Courthouse on November 26.
Unlike New Brunswick Police Department's promotion ceremony, this one was open to the press and the public.
New Brunswick Starts Screening and Interviewing Candidates for Schools Superintendent Job
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—The city's Board of Education will begin screening and interviews for candidates to replace retiring Superintendent of Schools Richard Kaplan on November 29.
The New Brunswick school district serves approximately 10,000 students and has only had two superintendents in the past 35 years.
Kaplan is set to retire this summer, leaving the unique district at a crossroads.
