NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—The Greater Brunswick Charter School invites community members to attend its third annual “Global Cardboard Challenge” from 8:30-11:30 am this Saturday, October 11.

This free event is open to the general public and invites children and families from all over to celebrate creativity and imagination.

As part of the Imagination Foundation’s Global Cardboard challenge, children from around the world construct projects from cardboard and recycled materials.

On October 11, GBCS will join over 100,000 participants in 39 countries in celebrating both the creations and the skills it takes to invent them.

Last year, the Global Cardboard Challenge attracted over 90,000 participants from countries like Thailand and Rwanda to engage in creative play.

The annual celebration was inspired by the viral short film, “Caine’s Arcade” about a cardboard arcade built by a 9-year-old boy in East Los Angeles.

The GBCS celebration will take place at 429 Joyce Kilmer Avenue in New Brunswick.  For more information about this event, contact the school at 732-448-1052.
