NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ—New Brunswick Police detectives have identified the man they say was involved in the stabbing of 23 year-old New Brunswick resident Miguel Serrano.
Serrano says he was robbed and assaulted by three unidentified individuals while walking towards Hamilton Street after coming from Patrick’s Pub on Somerset Street.
After further investigation, New Brunswick detectives determined that Serrano was involved in an argument with the attacker and his ex- girlfriend, which led to a physical attack on Serrano by Henriette.
According to NJ.com, police reports state that Henriette attacked Serrano in the rear parking lot of an apartment complex at 300 Hamilton Street.
Henriette allegedly used a sharp object to cut Serano below the left jawline and robbed him of about $150 cash.
Serano allegedly fled the scene and proceeded to run towards the intersection of Hamilton and Dix street, where he called 911 exclaiming, “I just got robbed. They cut my neck open with a blade, and I’m bleeding a lot! Please help me, I’m dying!”
Serano was treated at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and has been released in stable condition.
Marcos Henriette is charged with Attempted Murder, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.

The New Brunswick Police Department strongly advise not to approach Henriette. He is considered to be armed and dangerous.
