UPDATE (7/18): Timothy Ross turned himself in to Detectives with the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ–The New Brunswick Police Department is asking for help from the public with any tips or information they may have on a shooting that occurred on Remsen Avenue last month.
Police also warned the public about a fugitive suspect, Timothy Ross, a 41-year-old man from New Brunswick. Â Residents are told to call police if he is spotted.
Ross is 5 feet, 10 inches and 215 pounds. He is currently being charged with attempted murder, robbery, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a handgun, and certain persons not to possess a firearm. Ross also has an arrest warrant set with no bail status.
Ross is considered armed and dangerous, as he allegedly shot a 26-year-old female victim multiple times near the Hope Manor public housing development.
The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, is resident of Hillsborough. Â According to the police, it is believed that the victim survived the attack.
She was walking on Remsen Avenue between Welton Street and George Street, in the early morning hours of June 14, according to authorities, when she was then shot multiple times.
The initial investigation from by New Brunswick Police suggested that both the attacker and the victim were familiar with each other.
